Remarks

• adult size between 50 and 80 mm
• mostly tan to dark brown coloured, less common are yellow or orange specimens, rarely white
• both valves have about 20 internal ribs, outside they are smooth
• closely related to Euvola marensis (Weisbord, 1964) from the same locality but the hinge line of the right (lower) valve is more straight than E. marensis.
